The Junior Bit & Spur is open to kids ages 6-15. Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7p.m. at the Bit & Spur Rodeo grounds. The juniors hold a Bit & Spur Princess contest every year. The winner represents the juniors in the Tooele 4th of July Parade and the annual Bit & Spur 4th of July Rodeo. The juniors are divided up into three different groups based on their age (as of June 1st, 2010) 6-8, 9-12 and 13-15 years old.
Some of the events they participate in are:
- Barrel Racing
- Pole Bending
- Keyhole
- Western Pleasure
- Flag Race
- Stake Race

All Junior Bit & Spur participants are invited to ride in the Tooele 4th of July parade. Prizes are awarded at the end of the year to those who participate.
