History
The Bit & Spur Riding Club was formed in 1945 and is one of the oldest riding clubs in the State of Utah. By-Laws were drafted and the Club's mission established; to provide a variety of equine related activities for families and individuals of all ages and skill levels.

It is one of seven clubs, comprising District One, in association with the Utah State Western Riding Clubs of America (USWRCA).  Members of all ages participate in USWRCA sponsored horse shows. More information can be found at www.USWRCA.com including rules and descriptions of show events.

Rodeo

Many know about us through the Bit & Spur 4th of July Rodeo. This year the 67th annual rodeo will be held July 3rd and 4th at the Deseret Peak Complex in Tooele, UT. The 4th of July Rodeo started out as a fund raiser for the club and continues to fund our Junior Riding Club Program and other activities. The 4th of July Rodeo is recognized as the highlight of Tooele County's  Independence Day Celebration. Events
The Bit & Spur Riding Club continues to provide activities for all ages. A few of the Jr. Club events including barrels, poles, keyhole and more. The adults participate in Club Shows and Trail Rides. Club members also put on team penning twice a week, open to all riders of all ages and abilities. The club supports the Tooele High School Rodeo Association and provides donations to several local charity organizations.

Clubhouse Rental
The clubhouse is a great place for small parties and activities. It can be rented out for non Bit & Spur events. Non-Members $100, Active Members $25. Contact Lisa Hardy for more information and reservations at 435-882-1442.
